在2015年国庆黄金周霍山县境内发生的7死31伤的特大交通事故中，大客车驾驶员被控交通肇事罪，并于近日一审被判有期徒刑六年。
　　经该院审理查明，2015年10月6日7时40分许，被告人陈玉驾驶恒安客运公司的大型普通客车（车内乘客37人），沿省道318线由湖北英山县向霍山县方向行驶，行至落儿岭镇鹿吐石铺桥路段处，车辆向左驶出路外，碰撞大桥护栏后侧翻坠入河中，造成7人死亡、31人不同程度受伤的特大交通事故。经交警部门认定，陈玉负事故的全部责任。
　　霍山法院认为，被告人陈玉的行为构成交通肇事罪，且情节特别恶劣。结合被告人的法定及酌定量刑情节，霍山法院作出上述判决。
